Medeserv-PrimEd (previously Med-E-Serv Pty Ltd) was established in 1994 to deliver electronically based services to health professionals Australia-wide. Over time, the business model evolved and we have built a reputation for providing high quality continuing professional development programs for clinicians and large scale education solutions for health organisations.
Our team includes over 60 people working across the areas of curriculum and education design and development, project management, web and software development, service delivery, service delivery and professional services.
Many of our projects require collaboration across the sector. We have become expert at facilitating complex stakeholder projects, in particular for education projects where we must achieve consensus between domain specialists to define learning goals and design education programs.
We have completed more than 600 projects for our clients over the years, many of whom engage with us for multiple projects. Our clients represent a broad cross section of the Australian healthcare sector and include:
Peak disease bodies—Kidney Health Australia, Medical Oncology Group of Australia, Gastroenterological Society of Australia, Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand
State health departments—Queensland Health Patient Safety Centre, Medical Workforce Advice and Coordination Unit, Office of the Chief Nursing Officer, Clinical Practice Improvement Centre, Skills Development Centre
Medical learned colleges—Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (RANZCR), Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA), Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP)
Industry professional associations—Pharmaceutical Society of Australia (PSA)
Australian government—Australian Commission for Safety and Quality in Health Care (ACSQHC), Department of Health and Ageing (DoHA)
In 2005, we became an industry partner for The University of Queensland (UQ) Centre for Health Innovation and Solutions (CHIS) and were formally acquired by UQ in 2007. In 2010, we are wholly owned by UQ, but operate as an independent company working with key clients across the healthcare sector.
